Historic Fort Wayne, Inc. will host the Siege of Fort Wayne 1812, June 7 – 8 at The Old Fort in Fort Wayne, Indiana. From the days of the American Revolutionary War to the end of the 1812 war, British agents operating from Canada worked to instigate Native American tribes against the United States as part of an effort to block American expansion westward. During the War of 1812, Indiana Territory was home to several conflicts between the United States territorial government and partisan Native American forces backed by the British. Fort Wayne, situated on the confluence of the Three Rivers, was on the front line. This weekend at the Old Fort, reenactors recreate the Siege of Fort Wayne during the War of 1812. Be a part of the conflict! There will be musket and cannon demonstrations. Soldiers and civilians demonstrate daily life and drills. Period artisans display their wares. There are children’s activities. The event runs Saturday June 7, 10:00 am – 5:00 pm, and Sunday June 8, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. The event is free. There is no admission fee for the public. Donations are accepted.     First time participants must submit photos of themselves, members, and camp. First time vendors and blanket traders must attach photos of the camp and time-period appropriate merchandise. Registration deadline is May 23, 2025. Check-in begins Friday 12:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Saturday check-in is 6:00 am to 8:00 am.  Parking is available in the lot across the street from the fort. Camp areas and rooms within the fort are assigned. There are restrooms and a water source.
