250th Anniversary of the Settling of Kentucky

June 7-8, 2025  Founding of Fort Boonesborough  1775-2025. Held along the Kentucky River near the original fort site. Speakers, demonstrations, authors, period vendors, food, period music and activities for children. Also special  commemorative fort souvenirs and tee shirts available. Re-enactors can camp along the river. Participate in Kentucky’s Firsts – first legislative session in Kentucky “under the divine elm.” First Kentucky wedding and more. Arrival of  Boone’s Kentucky Axeman (from the Boone Trace) on Saturday. Event is free to the public. Shuttles available to the fort (regular admission). Re-Enactors can register at www.fortboonesborughlivinghistory.org
