Crossbow to Cartridge is a 15th-17th century living history event showcasing the great revolution in military technology, the adoption of gunpowder. Experience crossbow and gunpowder demonstrations, enjoy lively engagement with the warriors and campfollowers of distant Europe and Early America, and explore their military camps.
Join us this July 4th, 2025 for our largest artillery demonstration of the year! Our historic interpreters are recreating the 18 shot National Salute that soldiers fired here on Independence Day in 1813. The site will be open from 12 p.m.-5 p.m. The 18 Gun Salute takes place at 2:00 p.m.
