Setup on July 8th. July 9th: There will be a camp area, open to the public, and then stations where reenactors will discuss different aspects of being a soldier during different points during the war. We are also looking at having a ‘recruiting area’ for kids, where they would learn some basic drill – standing at attention, marching, etc. We have invited some of the other side (Germans) to join us, so that some of their perspective can be shared too. There will be a public “battle” in the afternoon on Saturday to demonstrate some of the different skills and tactics used, and just how difficult combat could be for the soldiers.
