Experience the lives of your grandparents and great-grandparents at this circa 1890-1930 civilian camping event. This is a reenactor-only, non-public event that focuses on the social gathering that was maple sugaring. It is also intended to be an introductory event, so while we do require appropriate historical clothing, you don’t have to have a perfect outfit to attend. The main event, of course, is making maple syrup, but there is also lots of period-style food, music, and a cartridge shooting match. Pre-1930 firearms only! There are usually several antique automobiles and any vehicle made before 1932 is welcome to stay in camp. The camp takes place in beautiful southern Indiana, on a privately owned 66-acre farm. There are period structures on the site as well, including a sugaring house. Join us for an experience like none other!
