Every year the weekend after Labor Day weekend we commemorate the Battle of Lake Erie and the men on both sides that fought in it. We do this with a commemoration ceremony, parade, historic weapons demonstrations, trade demonstrations, and just living history in general. Traditional our friends group, The Perry Group, charters a ferry for a wreath laying at the battle site. The National Park Services relies heavily on the reenactment community as volunteers to make this event possible. We look to have reenactors portraying US Army, Navy (Marines), Militia, camp followers, and trades. We would also love to have crown forces present and indigenous forces. All from the War of 1812. Many reenactors arrive Friday afternoon/evening to setup. Camp is open and demonstrations on Saturday and Sunday.
