Join us on Saturday, August 24th from 10 AM to 4 PM and celebrate American history and heritage. The event is Just 30 miles SE of Raleigh and is open to the public.

- Military, Law Enforcement, Fire, EMS, EMA, and Teachers with ID/badge get in FREE
Hands-On Activities & Demonstrations
Learn to write with a feather quill, make an authentic Native American style necklace, throw a tomahawk, dress the children in colonial clothing and enlist them in the militia. Be sure to pick up some souvenirs in our unique colonial store or from one of our guest sutlers (merchants) before you head out!
Musik & Entertainment
Children’s Militia will take part in a parade and trooping of the colors at 12:00 pm. Followed by a fife and drum demonstration. Musket and cannon demonstrations will occur every hour.
Food & Drink
Roast beef with the green beans, baked beans, and/or field peas, roll and drink will be on sale from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Adult’s plate $10, child’s plate $7.
Reenactors & Demonstrators
If you are interested in participating as a demonstrator, reenactor, reenacting group, living historian, sutlers/merchants, etc. you can register and find more information here. Anyone portraying the 18th century is welcomed to apply.
