SUMMARY:Battle of Camden SC
DESCRIPTION:Battle of Camden Reenactment℠\n\nOur annual Battle of Camden Reenactment event will be held on the second weekend of November 2021. As with previous years\, the event hosts hundreds of living historians portraying Crown and Patriot Revolutionary War soldiers and distaff (women and children of the soldiers)\, along with 18th century craftsmen\, period craft demonstrations\, and merchants with reproduction 18th century wares. Featuring daily mock battles\, complete with cavalry\, cannons\, and cracking muskets. This is over a 50-year-old Kershaw County tradition that brings in reenactors and spectators as far away as the Midwest\, New England\, and the Deep South. Revenue raised by this annual reenactment funds the Liberty Live℠ educational program. \nhttps://fb.watch/cjcydNzoqn/

SUMMARY:Maple Sugaring Camp at Fairhaven Farm
DESCRIPTION:Experience the lives of your grandparents and great-grandparents at this circa 1890-1930 civilian camping event. This is a reenactor-only\, non-public event that focuses on the social gathering that was maple sugaring. It is also intended to be an introductory event\, so while we do require appropriate historical clothing\, you don’t have to have a perfect outfit to attend. The main event\, of course\, is making maple syrup\, but there is also lots of period-style food\, music\, and a cartridge shooting match. Pre-1930 firearms only! There are usually several antique automobiles and any vehicle made before 1932 is welcome to stay in camp. The camp takes place in beautiful southern Indiana\, on a privately owned 66-acre farm. There are period structures on the site as well\, including a sugaring house. Join us for an experience like none other!
