SUMMARY:Operation Queen: WWII Reenactment(Simmulation)
DESCRIPTION:Hello ! My name is Daniel and I’m reaching out on behalf of Parker’s Airsoft Field. We are currently in our 3rd year of our WWII Reenactment(Simulation) we call it thus due to using Airsoft guns instead of real firearms and blanks. what lacks in gunshots makes up for with real projectiles\, and other battlefield hazards of the Battle of the Hurtgen\, We want to host historically accurate\, intense\, safe\, fun events. The Field is an Airsoft Field in Batavia Ohio call Parker’s Airsoft Field and is based around Airsoft. The Event requires Era correct Uniform and Equipment. We use period accurate chains of commands etc. . We want to offer a new experience for WWII Reenactors and enjoyers with a way to experience the Heat of Combat and the worry about actual projectiles. and other hazards. We use things from Guns to Grenades\, Fragmentation\, Bang and Smoke as well as Mines and booby traps. We encourage roleplaying during the event. It lasts for 12-24 hours depending and is a Milsim event Players arrive they must bring everything they need with them onto the field. This year we would like to set up Period accurate camps for the Allied and Axis sides respectively. The Field is owned by a U.S Veteran who holds history in high regard and hosts a large Vietnam Era event each year that sells out within a month. now he wants to give Operation Queen the chance to grow like his No Front Line Event (Vietnam Event) The Website for the field is https://parkersairsoft.com/ and there is also a discord where Larry ( The Field Owner) can be reached.

SUMMARY:“David Rittenhouse”\, President of American Philosophical Society\, presents Big Science of the 18th Century
DESCRIPTION:We are all familiar with the impact of Enlightenment thinking on the politics of the American Revolutions. Overtures or Locke and Rousseau are found in debates leading to the Declaration of Independence and the Federalist Papers debating the Constitution. Thomas Pane forcefully renounces the ideas of hereditary rule (Common Sense) and Patrick Henry literally screams for the ideals of the Enlightenment from his Virginia Statehouse lectern. America was founded on a platform of refutation of Establishment and support of traditional political power. At the same time\, and for many of the same reasons\, there is a global revolution in scientific thought during the 18th Century. Long held beliefs about how the world works\, its origins\, and the nature of natural philosophy were being challenged.

SUMMARY:The American Heritage Festival
DESCRIPTION:Graham’s Historic Farm is where Francis Marion staged attacks against the British in 1780 when all other Continental forces in the southern army were either dead or captured after the Siege of  Savannah\, the Siege of Charles Town\, and the Battle of Camden. Additionally\, British prisoners were brought to the farm after the Battle of Tearcoat Swamp. In celebration of Marion and his men being credited as the catalyst for changing the course of the war\, Graham’s Historic Farm and the 2nd South Carolina Revolutionary Regiment host a weekend of encampments\, displays\, presentations\, historical speakers\, and battle reenactments. Regiments that participate often include\, the Kingsbury Artillery\, 3rd Continental Dragoons\, New Jersey Light Infantry\, SC Militia\, Queen’s Rangers\, the Royal 33 of Foot\, and the 23 Royal Fusiliers.  In 2025 the American Heritage Festival  will also be highlighting the Scotch- Irish Games in honor of those Scot- Irish men from the former Williamsburg area who fought under Marion.  Additionally\, WWII encampments\, displays\, and speakers can be seen along with daily battle reenactments.  The festival highlights speakers such as Durant Ashmore\, on South Carolina Militia; Ron Brown\, USAF Special Operations Museum Curator\, on comparative operations today with the tactics of Francis Marion; and General George Patton’s grandson\, Pat Waters \nGraham’s Historic Farm is also inviting French and Indian War reenactors this year.  The farm is divided into fields surrounded by forest\, which makes each place look like the period being displayed. \nLee Marion – Descendant of Francis Marion’s half brother will be taking part in the festivities.  Music\, food\,  beer & wine will be available. \nGo to www.theamericanheritagefestival.com for more information and to register. \n

SUMMARY:Historic Fall Trade Fair at Fort Piqua
DESCRIPTION:Come join us at the new Historic Fall Trade Fair at Fort Piqua\, October 19-20\, 2024. The Trade Fair spans the early years of Ohio’s history from 1742-1862\, focusing on the life in and around the Historic Johnston Farm and Indian Agency. Come and see how Ohio influenced the history of the United States through the various demonstrators\, vendors\, and living historians that will be on site.  Come see a bodger at work\, and how his work affects the cook in the kitchen. Get tied up in loom work both the small looms that held everything together to the larger looms that covered the floor. Follow the smells to the kitchens of the house and visit the resident cook as she uncovers the mysteries of past recipes. Feel the concussion of cannons as they fire multiple rounds during the weekend. Oxen will be working not just in the fields but doing chores around the farm. There will be kid’s games and activities at the house just like the Johnston’s would have done to keep their kids busy when chores were done. Hold onto your wallets and protect your pockets if you dare to enter the world of Cutthroat Cheats and Thieves! They will be happy to introduce you to the Notorious Professions of the 18th Century. Who knows\, maybe they will purchase\, I mean\, “hire” your children from you to teach them some job skills.  There will be talks about women and their role in the 18th century. Longhunters will be returning from their forays west. A Victorian farming family will be coming to sell their fall harvest. The soap makers will be making their last batches of soap for the year. Our Colonial balladeer will sing you the songs of yesteryear. Hear the ring of blacksmith anvils as you see how blacksmithing changed over the decades. Find pieces of artwork to hang on your walls that forever capture a snapshot of years gone by. Take a leisurely ride down the canal on the General Harrison. Come and find a piece of history to take home with you from our historic vendors or to give to a loved one. This is the perfect place to find the memorable and unforgettable\, for today and for the holidays. Please join us for a fun and educational event you will love! \n  \n  \n

SUMMARY:Normandy 44 (Tactical Re-enactment)
DESCRIPTION:“12th Kp Events” is excited to present the 3nd Annual Normandy Tactical Battle using mission orders and chain of command to give participants an experience unlike most all events in this genre. The event will focus on events after the actual invasion but prior to entering Belgium in 1944.\nThe Staff has continued to plan for mission events that you will execute during the Operational timeline. We are looking at a new area of the base to utilize this year. The event will begin @ 12 noon on Friday 11 October 2024 for the German’s and then the American and Commonwealth troops will begin their movement a couple of hours later. Like last year\, there will be night operations on Friday until 22:00. Night Operations on Saturday depends upon participant numbers. There will be a large Clamshell facility & Tent areas for those not wanting to stay in a field environment.\nFor those individuals that are wanting to put together a specific unit impression for the event\, you need to contact the event staff for approval prior to 1 June 2024\, minimum of 5 personnel is required for this option. Rear area impressions are also welcome to attend and support the event. We also want all vehicle owners to know that compensation for Armored vehicles over 4 tons is provided once the Army and event cost are satisfied and surplus is met.\nWe invite all units to attend. If you belong to a unit that was not part of the Normandy Campaign\, please contact us for recommendations on how you and your unit can participate. This large National Event will be one you don’t want to miss.
