DESCRIPTION:Land. It is the only guarantee of the frontier. Many travel the trace to obtain it\, though its claim is not as easy as simple occupation. SUMMARY:Frontier Justice - Martin's Station
DESCRIPTION:Law on the western front is swift and harsh. An autocratic system overshadows theocracy. Verdicts are defined by the law of religion and man. Witness Colonel Preston convene court\, and listen carefully as he hands down verdicts and dispenses his unique brand of frontier justice.

SUMMARY:Hawken Classic 2024
DESCRIPTION:May 17 – 19\, 2024 \nTimes: Friday\, May 17 – 10am to 5pm \nSaturday\, May 18 – 10am to 5pm \nSunday\, May 19 – Noon to 5pm \nBackup Date: September 6-8\, 2024 \n(just in case of Spring river flooding) \nLocation: The Lewis and Clark Boat House and Museum \n1050 Riverside Drive\, St Charles\, MO 63301 \nThe Hawken Classic: \nThe 200th anniversary of the J&S Hawken rifle is 2025. \nWe began celebrating this annual event the Spring of 2024 and again in 2025. \nThe Hawken brothers were instrumental in the development of the purpose-built Plains/Mountain rifle. Their rifles became the prototype for all makers supplying the Western trade. The Hawken Shop in St. Louis supplied rifles for the trans Mississippi trade from the 1820’s through 1860. The Hawken Classic is a celebration of the Hawken rifles contribution to American History. The Lewis and Clark Boat House and Museum near St. Louis\, Missouri\, is a great location for this event. In August 2023 the Hawken rifle was named the Official State Rifle for Missouri.
