SUMMARY:15th Annual Fort Harrod Settlement & Raid/Harrodsburg 250th Celebration
DESCRIPTION:June 16th\, 1774 to June 16th\, 2024!\n250 Years since Harrodsburg’s Founding.\n\nWe will be celebrating starting with a SAR Presentation\, Parade\, and Pageants on June 8th.\nEnding with a Founder’s Day celebration on June 16th\, 2024.\nSettlers\, natives\, and traders will be encamped at Fort Harrod\, and demonstrations will go on all day from the 13th – 16th with a raid on the fort Saturday at 3:00 PM.\nEvents going on all over town those four days and even a canoe trip on the KY River for re-enactors.\nWe are interested in getting as many re-enactors as we can for the Parade and the encampment here at Old Fort Harrod State Park. We will limit space for traders so contact the park soon.\nPlease contact us at 859-734-3314.

SUMMARY:Annual Reenactment of the Battle of Monmouth
DESCRIPTION:Bring your family to the Battlefield Saturday or Sunday\, June 15-16\, 2024\, and travel back in time to the 1770s. Two armies will be preparing to do battle. Continental Army soldiers retrained at Valley Forge are itching to show off their new skills\, while a British-German-Loyalist Army hopes to crush the rebels and restore good government. Come early for a full day of living history. The army encampments will welcome visitors beginning at 9 AM Watch soldiers clean their muskets while their women prepare what may be their men’s last meal. Some officers may be drilling their men while others plan for the battle and yet others play cards. If someone is accused of cheating\, there may be a duel.

DESCRIPTION:Fort Meigs Historic Site examines the veteran armies of Europe and the conflict that engulfed the rest of the world during the War of 1812. This two day encampment and heavy drill session event offers the great opportunity of recruitment and the refinement of military drill to our great guests Brigade Napoleon.  Fort staff offer a period appropriate field tavern and gripping entertainment in both French and English.
