DESCRIPTION:Mary Ingles Trail Associates (MITA) in the Kanawha Valley!MITA will present our Encampment and Living History Event at Kanawha State Forest in Log Town Hollow\, April 24-26\, 2026.\n\nWhile named and centered around the life of Mary Draper Ingles\, what we present is ALL life skills which Mary\, her family\, friends\, and neighbors would need to survive in the 18th Century. We will focus this event on various trade scenarios among the various groups living in the Kanawha Valley.\n\nIf you are a historical reenactor or demonstrator\, let’s chat! We are always open to new demonstrators\, whether you are new to the craft or “well-seasoned” … as long as you have a love for education and accuracy\, we’d love to get to know you.

SUMMARY:Ashville Ohio Reenactment Timeline/Grove of Heroes
DESCRIPTION:Held in conjunction with the Ashville Viking Festival\, this event spans all history. All eras are accepted. From the legions of ancient Rome to the colorful mercenaries of the Holy Roman Empire and beyond\, history awaits. Our reenactors look forward to explaining life throughout the ages. Visit our Grove of Heroes and learn how weapons developed and what maneuvers carry forward to today’s soldiers. Discover what foods were eaten\, how medicine and clothes developed\, and what people did for fun. The encampment is adjacent to the Saxon Market which features shopping\, food\, and entertainment. Held every year starting the last Saturday of April. A donation to help the local food pantry is appreciated. Contact vikingfestival@gmail.com for more information and to register your group.
