You are miles\, days\, beyond the fringes of civilization and a wooden palisade is all the stands between you and the untamed wilderness. Danger lurks within the shadows\, but opportunity arises each day with the sun. Join the men and women of Martin’s Station and immerse yourself in the lives of those who helped to forge this great nation and open America’s “first” west. \nThis program is designed to take living history and experimental archaeology to a new level. SUMMARY:Rendezvous on the Reserve
DESCRIPTION:   This living history encampment depicts the fur trade-era in the Indiana wilderness spanning the years of 1760-1840. This gathering of settlers\, natives\, traders and trappers will be held on the Blackford County Reservation of Myaamia Chief Francois Godfroy who chose this site in accordance with the terms of the 1818 Treaty of St. Marys between the Myaamia and the U.S. Government.
